> COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY // GRADUATE SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM (MS ’13)
I received my Master’s of Science from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. I specialized in broadcast journalism and attended part-time while I worked full time at NBC News.

> GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY // THE ELLIOTT SCHOOL OF INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS (BA ’09)
While at GW I interned at various newsrooms including NBC’s TODAY in New York, CBS News “The Early Show”, & NBC-4 Local in Washington, and Capitol News Connection, a radio station, on Capitol Hill.

> KTRE-TV // EAST TEXAS NEWS @ 6 & 10 p.m.
At KTRE-TV, we cover 11 East Texas counties, also called the Pineywoods. I launched a Spanish-language news brief for our Telemundo station and a series called ‘East Texas Throwback,’ which tells the history of East Texas landmarks.

> KAVU-ABC, NEWSCENTER25 // HOMETOWN NEWS @ 6 & 10 p.m.
My first job on-air was in Victoria, Texas, as the lead evening news anchor at 6 & 10 p.m. I also began a Spanish-language news brief from Univision and served as interim News Director.

I began in broadcasting as a desk assistant working up to production assistant at ABC News’ Washington Bureau. I moved to New York City where I worked at both NBC News & MSNBC as a TV news producer.
